- Hello!
-
- I'm the pride owner of an A500 and an external Supra RAM (500 XP, I think)
- with 2 Mb installed. Now, the problem is that when it gets warm, after about
- one hour, it gurus my computer (or just restarts without any guru). The problem
- seems to get worse when I install extra 2 Mb of RAM. I think my Amiga is OK,
- because I own another external 2 Mb RAM which works just fine.
-
- I have tried to connect the two memories after eachother, (the Supra first and
- the other one second. The other way round won't work.) and it seems to work
- OK, but it decreases the time I can run the Amiga before it acts strangely.
- Using the 2Mb healthy memory with 4 Mb in the Supra RAM decreases the OK-time
- to 0. Guru away.
-
- I did run the SupraRamTest-program and when it wrote ex. $FFFF or $0000 I
- sometimes get random numbers BUT when it made bit rotation it sometimes read
- back (ex.) % 00000000 00001100 (it should be % 00000000 00001000). I guess it
- randomly "forgets" to clear a bits that was 1 but shall be 0 when it writes a
- byte to a memory location.
-
- I recall measuring the +5 V to ca 4.84 V regardles of the amount of peripheral.
-
- Do you know whats wrong? Please send a mail to me and tell me what to do,
- or where I can turn to get some help.
-
- Please answer in Mail, the activity here is to large for me to catch up with.
-
- /Frodo
